Started putting my rocks together for my first saltwater tank. I’ll be adding macroalgea instead of coral. Open to any critiques on my scape.

I know the minimalist look is popular and if thats your thing then please ignore my comment and rock on, but I'm an old fashioned rock wall guy and to me thats just not enough rock for a 75, not enough hiding spots

I’ll make more adjustments for more hiding spots, thanks for the suggestion.

I think your rockscape is nice and depending on the macroalgae that you choose, that will add hiding places. What sort of macros and fish are you thinking of?

I have a 75g and its a nice size and footprint. I love mine. I wouldn't rule out some very easy soft coral like Kenya tree and cabbage leather. Sponges can be nice too but the only sponge that I have had long term success with is yellow ball sponge and a plating purple photosynthetic sponge. Both are nice however.

Thank you, I’ll be adding Pom Pom, blue hypnea, vining ember and stout dwarf. For the fish I’m thinking of clowns, bengal cardinals, green chromis and fire fish. Coral just feels a bit too advanced for me but I’ll keep the ones you mentioned in mind.

A lot of corals are very easy, in my experience I've had a much easier time growing a lot of soft corals than macro algae. The aesthetic of a macro algae tank though is very appealing to me though especially coming from freshwater planted tanks.
