Odd question, but what is the height of the body of that M1 pump? The measurements say 6," but I'm not sure if that is including the output piping?
Thanks!

I will measure it up when I get home from work. So are you wanting the measurement from the base to the top of the OEM blue fitting that comes on it or from the base to the top of the barb I installed?

let me know how the plumbing goes, I am horrible when it comes on to that. I currently run my chiller off the M1 but not the best plumbing see my thread : https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/rebuild-75-rimless-after-disaster.306912/

I'm going to try to start working on some plumbing tomorrow and Friday so I will post pics and updates. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and subsequent tank crash in your other thread! It's impressive that you rebuilt and are sticking with it. Tank looks great!

Thanks! I'm looking for the base to the blue. I wasn't sure if the body was that tall or the actual fitting was included.

The beginning of the chaos.... lol. Love mounting and remounting everything until the puzzle comes together. And of course the wire nest before they can be managed and zip-tied after everything is in.

Plumbing fun..... And pulled the trigger on an Avast spyglass reactor. I'm blowing enough money, why not? Lol. I'm all about easy maintenance and that thing makes it looks too easy! Also just got the Neptune ATK. Sunday is D day! Planning to do the tank swap that day if all goes well. Hoping it goes smooth! I also got a piece of vinyl tile flooring done to put under new tank so when we want the get new carpet I will be all set. I'm just going to cut around the pre-made piece and lay it down and the guy is going to come finish the carpet around it after the fact.

For sake of available space I installed a 1" Neptune flow sensor just after the Vectra return pump so I will know total flow from pump. Then I installed another 1" flow sensor just before the UV sterilizer so I can dial in flow to that. Obviously flow to DT will be total output minus what is going to UV. I just didn't have room to put the sensor after the return valve to DT. Plus I like the fact I will know total output coming from pump anyways.

Man that was a project tearing down old tank! And only a 60 gallon! All you large upgraders I have much respect! I also decided while I was at it to cut the carpet around where new stand would sit and install a new section of tile flooring. I had it all pre made and ready to go. This way when I want new carpet in the near future it'll be all set!

And it finally got wet yesterday at about 6 pm! 2 nights of very little sleep last night and the night before. Lol.
