Its been a long process of getting this tank set up. I started out with a 25 long and had everything plumbed in and ready to go for about a year, but life got busy so I had to take a break. I still had/have a 30g tall mixed reef set up with 2 clowns. Once I had some time to devote toward my tank build , I ordered rocks and started my aqua scaping journey. I then decided to fill the 25g for another leak test , and this is the first roadblock I hit. The internal seal went :/. I decided to upgrade to a larger tank. I already was debating on the purchase before leak was discovered, but after it was spotted the new tank was a no brainer.

Luckily I had enough unions that I just had to run my PVC up a little higher , and drill the tank.

I'm currently in the cycling process about a month and half in , and my ammonia levels have dropped off and are good.

I'm pretty happy with how my aqua scape turned out. I used purple Marco rock and the their purple mortar. It does take a long while when your mortaring just a few rocks at a time in order to construct your arches. I recommend letting them cure for over 24hr before trying to add more to the piece your working on. I learned this hard when when an arch that took days fell apart ,and I had to start over.

overflow.jpg This is the E-shopee overflow box (1000GPH) I went with 3/4". I sourced most of plumbing parts on Amazon. you can buy colored schedule 40 PVC around 12' for 28$ when I purchased. I also picked up most of my fittings online they sell these gray ones that look very clean and they're a 1/4 of the price as BRS. I actively price check ,and look to see if product is carried anywhere else.Ordered the BRS screen lid kit. The kit actually came with enough screen and gasket material that i only needed to order the sticks ,and the Corner pieces to finish the other side of tank. I Also ordered the add on "feed port" for screen.

I Also ordered another add on "feed port" for screen. I used another "Neat Feed Port" for my return line to give it that cleaner look.

screen lid 3.jpg

Newest addition for livestock , My Spotted Blue Puffer. This is my first puffer, they have awesome personalities.

Sump fuge.jpg Sump is nearing completion. Yesterday i added clean chaeto ,and 4 jars of galaxy pods. It's my first time using pods, and they seemed incredibly cold when they were delivered. I got them inside and temperature acclimated, but the jars were freezing.

How much flow are you running through the Eclipse S box? Debating ordering a S or M for my 50 lowboy frag build.

I believe they are marketed at 950 to 1050 GPH and I’d have to say that’s fairly accurate, it’s doing a good job of skimming surface. Originally I had a Y on my return lock line. I ended up changing it over to just a single return line to get better head pressure.

Screen lid 4.jpg screen lid 3.jpg I used another " Neat Feed port" for a cleaner look On return line Plumbing. I thought about originally drilling another hole for another bulkhead for return line , but decided against it. This is my first build build with a sump ,and I've been pleased with how clean I've gotten it so far.

I used an over the rim return on a previous build and really liked how it reduced the back siphoning when the pump was shut off because I could drill the "vent" in the loc line right at the water surface when the pump was turned on. I had far less water drain to my sump with that set up than I do on my current build. Plan to use the same setup on my frag system I'm putting together.

Looks as if you are having a great time. And those Neat feeding ports are helpful, aren't they? Worth the &15-$20.00. 👍🏻

How’d you connect that return to the pvc?

Here is my current over the rim. Used just a standard 3/4" slip to 1/2" thread 90 pvc elbow and the screwed my locline adapter into it.
