Hey everyone, just picked up a 75gal (48x18x21) for an unbelievable price! has a stand, wet/dry sump, nice return pump, built in corner overflow, canopy, dual MH with 4 T5's combo with moonlights and a protein skimmer. Just needs a nice cleaning and a few touch ups here and there. The stand is nice and high, so I don't have to bend over to look at it. My potential stocking list is collected creatures from down here in the FL Keys such as, ricordea, zoas, some lps, Caribbean tang maybe and other small fish that are reef safe and CUC. With these lights I could pretty much grow anything, so I wont waste the opportunity and of course I'll be buying some SPS, since it's illegal to collect down here. Most likely purchase them from other local members in the Miami area. If anyone has questions or advice, feel free to comment. Will be posting pics soon and try to keep this thread updated on even the smallest things I do. Sorry If the build is slow, I won't be able to get this tank wet until October or November, where i'm putting the tank is at my future apartment, that is being constructed at the moment. I will take my time in cleaning it and making the cabinets look nice and clean.

Any recommendations on bulbs for the MH and T5s? Going with ATI on the T5s but not sure on the set up yet.

This is the color of my apartment living room. Still in construction process. It's a light teal paint with Silver/light gray color porcelain tile.
My significant other and I , are planning to make this area and the kitchen , that is close , a modern design. Using cool colors with silver and stainless steel products.

Since my stand is black, my next step is to remove cabinet doors, replace all the hinges and anything metal that is a little rusty and replace it with marine grade stainless steel pieces to prevent rust and keep everything shiny and smooth when opening canopy or cabinet and change the cabinet to some type of shade of gray (still deciding). Luckily my future father in law is a professional carpenter and refinisher, he does only top notch work for yachts and high end homes. So he will be giving me tips on what products to use and how to do everything to have it the way I want it.

So I really need to update this thread with pics. I started cleaning and did a vinegar bath, unfortunately while doing this I found a leak on one of the bulk heads. When I get a chance I will replace it with a new one and test it again. I'm going to go ahead and replace both anyways. Also clean that overflow area good.. I'm having trouble getting off old coralline algae spots. They are white. Should I use a scraper? want to get some ideas from someone who has done it before.
