8831 Power Supply

I received an 8831 refugium light (Red light) from a friend who was getting out of the hobby but he did not have the power supply. I asked Marine and Reef which Tunze power supply and was told they do not have the power supply for the 8831, just the other EcoChic lights.
When I searched the Tunze page the power supply for the 8831 appears to be discontinued?
Which power supply is recommended for the 8831 LED?

8831 is definitely not discontinued, it is the most successful model of light we make and one of our top selling products.

There are several power supplies you can use, they have changed over time, 5012.010 is the most readily available and least expensive, 3154.120 was also used for a while. You just need 12V, at least 1000mA and 2.5 by 5.5 mm tip, tip positive.

It would work but it is a more expensive power supply.
