What the eb total volts and and pump amps showing. Would not put to much stress on a low watt device reading The voltages meter on the ob823 or not the most accurate and the amps round to the nearest tenth. A 1/10 Change in amp reading will change your wattages numbers +-12 watts assuming your voltage is at 120vMy aquatrance 1000 skimmer pump is only rated for 9 watts but according to my eb832 it’s using 17 watts is this harmful to the tank, and is the pump broken?
Brand new pump in a external skimmerHow long has the pump been running?
Are there any obstructions to the output?
Is the impeller fractured?
Any Ca buildup in the pump?
The only real harm would be the 2~3 degree temp increase in the pump as the pump heats upEmailed reef octo hope I can get a replacement but I’m mainly worried about this being harmful to my tank ?
It won’t leach anything weird because of the extra watts? The only real harm would be the 2~3 degree temp increase in the pump as the pump heats up
Not for a long time....however, you should return as overwattage is a sign of a bad pump, (or something causing a restriction, or too big of a head for the pump). It won’t leach anything weird because of the extra watts?
As mentioned earlier this is a brand new skimmer pump so not sureNot for a long time....however, you should return as overwattage is a sign of a bad pump, (or something causing a restriction, or too big of a head for the pump).
