No floor work. Early shipments of frozenfood and freshwater angels had to be dealt with.

Gotta love when suppliers send things on their timeline and not yours.

I gotta tell ya, tending to a wife who had surgery and still trying to keep up with the store stuff has been brutal.

Got both coats of epoxy on the coral tables yesterday. Finally finished about 7:30 last night.

We had a bulkhead leak on the 12 foot tank and it was a royal pain to fix. But, it's good now and looks really impressive.

BTW, make SURE if you ever build with epoxy and plywood, you do it in a well ventilated area and wear a mask. I use a carbon filter RZ mask and still got a bit dizzy.

This stuff is no joke.

The glass will go in after a light sanding on all bonding surfaces Wednesday. I would put it in tomorrow but I think I will wait another day.

12' glass tank? Did you have to make that? BTW your store is looking good.

The tank was built for a customer by Glass Cages. They failed to pick it up and it sat for 3 years. We got it for a steal.

We were originally going to put tangs in it but decided against it since it's only 14" front to back.

Thanks! We have really been busting our humps trying to get ready.

I need to pick your brain on that coral table. Need me a few of those, but smaller. What epoxy did you use?

I'm a little surprised you do not have a full-on respirator. I will not do any work involving fumes or fine, airborne dust without one. After all, guys like you and I cannot afford to lose any more brain cells!

I'm not positive, as there are a few different products one can use effectively, but I'm guessing @dantimdad used Pond Shield/Pond Armor. To me, that's what it looks like in the tables.

So, the first expense was a new piece of glass and good silicone: $73

I removed all of the inside seals, the overflow and cleaned the heck out of it. I then glued in a piece of 1/4" glass I cut myself from scrap to cover the holes in the bottom.

In went the glass and new seals!

I should have taken pictures of the progress and taping off to get neat seams but alas, I was remiss. :(
I am buying a 93 cube and plan to do the same thing to the overflow holes on the bottom.

I have used sweetwater epoxy from pentair (used to be aquatic eco systems) for over 25 years. Nothing else works as well in my opinion. I was going to try pond armor this time but, I have heard of silicone separating from it.

Plus, sweetwater is way cheaper in the long run. One gallon cost me under $100 and did two heavy coats on both tables.

I have one but loaned it to a buddy to paint a car. He went out of town and I couldn't get it back in time.

I had to get these done or they won't be cured by opening.
