I waited the grueling 7 days for this thing to cure.

Then I began to fill it up:

Now, this is the point where you begin to doubt yourself. No matter how many of this type of repair you do, you are always second guessing. You hear noises, see drops of water that aren't there and generally look through your fingers over your eyes while waiting for it to fill. Expecting to have a crash and splash all over the carport.

Well, that didn't happen and this is a week later:

Success!
(note the patch over the holes held as well)
Love it , comrade

Couldn't wait. I went ahead and finished it and filled it back up so it can leak test even more.

It's hard to tell from the pic, but, I am guessing, solvent got behind the paper in the upper left corner and clouded the acrylic a bit. :(

It's not bad for my first acrylic job of any real size.

This will start another addiction to another aspect of this hobby I am sure. I am already looking at my little CNC thinking "Time to go to work, little buddy!" ;)

Please excuse the mess. I will get it cleaned up.
dang, that thing looks great. You do some nice work, sir!

I have an idea for your project. Just a silhouette. I was thinking the universal fallen soldier with coral and fish swimming around it. Maybe thin lines in a wave pattern background to mimic the flag and water.

Acrylic is fun! Nice job you are an expert already. Ready to build that new store now?

Yep!

I think the flat packs on the small tanks are the way to go. :)

Let's talk.

ATO turned out great, I agree acrylic is a lot of fun to build with. I keep telling myself to build something else but haven't done it yet, can't find anything I need to build. I'm sure I'll come up with something.

I've also discovered the joy of working with acrylic. Perfect finish every time, no painting, no priming, no fuss.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you just buy a new little aquarium that could have been built? Lol

Well yes, yes I did. I don't think I would ever own an acrylic tank. I'm too clumsy and I know I would scratch the crap out of it. I do however love acrylic for all the accessories and things that go with a tank.
