So i went ahead and bought 20 aptasia eating nudi branch from a member on here. I was in contact multiple times over the first few days stating that i didn't see any sort of improvement in the tank, and that they were no where to be seen. They assured me that they would show up and take care of the aptasia after 46 days. First off i had 20 in a 29 gallon biocube way more then he suggested to begin with but have a ton of aptasia to deal with. I assumed this was not an issue so i continued to wait for improvement. Well i did not add anything new to the tank and all of a sudden it went downhill and crashed. I pmd the seller asking info about what could cause this and they seemed to go on the defensive side right away. I am merely asking questions at that point although i had mentioned that i wasted $150 with this seller with no improvement of the aptasia like they swore to fix. This rant is more on the lines that i contacted this seller multiple times before the crash ever happened and was told just to give it time. I gave it time and lost about 800 to 1000 worth of coral and fish along with more aptasia. So the ending of my story really is beware of buying nudis even if it seems like a good deal it could ruin your tank.

Do you have shrimp, fish, or pumps that might be a danger? I know peppermints and wrasses eat them and pumps can be dangerous to them. Are you sure they were aiptasia eating nudis? I ordered fromsaltwatercritters and even though i neer saw them after the first night they completely eradicated my aiptasia.

Have a cleaner shrimp used the acclimation guide like he suggested saw them moving around on the rocks the day i put them in but after that nothing. I realize they are small but with as much aptasia i had they should have been munching right away and then for the tank to crash afterwards i just don't know what to think about them

Were the berghia healthy? If they were Im sure they would not make a tank crash. The only thing that comes to mind is poor quality berghia on the verge of death that could cause an ammonia spike. Any testing happen after crash?

IMO I don't think they had anything to do with the crash then. Berghia had to do something as all they eat is aiptasia. Try spotting them with a blue led flashlight about 1 to 2 hours after lights out.

Your Berghia had nothing to do with your tank crash. 50 Berghia, in a 29, all dying at the same time, wouldn't cause a tank to crash.

The fact that you didn't seen any Berghia is not at all uncommon. I've had dozens of Berghia, in a 20 gallon tank, with nothing but rock and aiptasia...no corals, no fish, etc. I'd go weeks without seeing a single Berghia. It's fairly common to never see them at all, unless they're starving, then you see them on the glass, pure white in color.
