So I hope what I’m about to say doesn’t come across as too preachy or possibly get me banned but I’m a man of faith and I’ve really been struggling with some life stressors here recently one of which being the continued struggles with the health of my Achilles tang and the fluctuating ammonia levels in my qt tank through prayer and dedication as well as a whole lot of long nights and wisdom from here and above I have started to get my Achilles to swim confidently and gain substantial weight just wanna give glory to God because in my belief without you wonderful folks in reef 2 reef and most importantly God himself I feel like I would have failed I made a promise that if he would guide me and help me I would give him glory for the fishes condition and I thought that telling this wonderful group of folks here was a good start again not trying to offend anyone but just wanting to give glory to God.

God didn’t heal the fish for the fish’s sake. He enabled you to heal the fish so that you can feel healed as well. He loves you….

Also Owners have a religious and ethical duty to ensure the well-being of their animals, which includes feeding them and relieving them from pain or danger.

With you doing so you healed you as well

This is not an easy hobby and it will challenge you in every way. Having the ambition to keep going will always lead to a teachable moment. We have all had our setbacks whether we’d like to admit it or not. It’s how we handle those situations through thick and thin makes this hobby truly one of a kind. I’m so glad it worked out and you are the reason for that. Your tang thanks you for its life and is blessed to have you!

Good job! Get your achilles in good shape and enjoy him for years to come, tangs are very long lived fish.

And agree with you on life stressors, we're all tested from time to time. Stay healthy, stay positive and you'll get through them.

That's pretty rad. I never thought about praying to the Lord over my tank. I always feel guilty praying for myself. So tend to pray for others. However, what's the harm?
I feel like this is a common tendency for us to fall into as believers. We want to pray for those around us, but feel silly asking for prayers for ourselves. About a year ago, I was trying to find something in my apartment. I spent days trying to find the item, looking through every possible thing. Finally gave up and said, "God, I know this might be small, and it sounds dumb to me, but help me find this thing". Within three minutes, I was able to find it.
Usually, what I tell people is that God wants to hear from us. Whether it is the long-winded 20+ minute wrestle sessions, or a simple thanks to God, he wants to hear from us. The same goes for prayer requests. God listens to us even over the minor, like asking for a fish to live or help me not get lost on my way to a new place.

And there are plenty of us on here who lift up all the big and little things in our lives, including our tanks. “you have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle…”. He is aware of all things in our lives, even what is seemingly the smallest. Never be afraid to reach out and we will walk alongside you.
