First off I want to apologize for the long post but I feel these things need to be said. If you have more important things to think about today than our children’s future, then please don’t waste your time reading this. Just close the window and go about your merry way and let your children fend for themselves.
If you are still with me, then I challenge you to read the entire post. It may take a few minutes of your time but believe me it is important. This not a political writting, at least that is not my intension. I will not tell you who to vote for in the upcoming election. You, the American people are smart enough to make that decision on your own. You know what is best for our country. The only purpose of this post is to encourage you think about the candidates and make a wise decision on November 4th. It will be here before your know it.
Our country needs you now more than ever before and if I sat by and didn’t try to inspire and move you to action, I would be a hypocrite. My conscience will not let me sit by during this trying time without voicing my opinion and doing my small part to try to divert an upcoming disaster.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Aren’t those beautiful words? Stop for a moment and think about the price that has been paid for our freedom by all those that have served over the last 233 years. People our forefathers need your help. The writers of the constitution need your help. Your father, grandfather, great father needs your help. Your children and grandchildren need your help. All those that have fought for our freedom in past and given their lives for this great country NEED YOUR HELP more than ever before in history.
So what’s the problem you ask? Look around you, open your eyes to what is happening. Jobs moving overseas, war, recession, debt, illegal immigration, rising health care costs, welfare, social security, increased tension with Russia, you name it, we have problems yet we can overcome. Our great nation has faced hard times in the past but we are great. We will prevail as long as the people have a will to prevail. If we lose our will to complacency, we will fall and that is what is happening today. We have become too busy with our day to day activities to notice where we are going. We are too busy watching American Idol, King of The Hill, Family Guy or reading about the latest media sensation to pay attention to the actions of our country’s leaders.
In the past few weeks, the chairman of the Federal Reserve and the Secretary of Treasury have met with CEOs of mega financial institutions and promised them loans and guarantees in the billions and billions and billions of dollars. Where did these two people get the power to give away American taxpayer money? They have just doubled our national debt in the past few weeks and there is no end in sight. This weekend they are meeting with your congressmen to come up with a plan to create a new entity where greedy CEOs can sell risky debt to our government which will be auctioned off at a latter date. It’s an open checkbook and you’re going to be signing the checks. These investments banks have used the American public to make risky mortgage loans they can not pay for. The homeowner has paid loan costs and payments for the last few years and now they are losing there house, all money they have paid and their credit. Meanwhile these greedy people have taken their money, their house and now getting money from government. That means YOU and me.
