I feel awful, but I can't sleep. So I'm awake. So I'm looking at fish and aquarium stuff....which is fine and dandy, but it makes me want to move forward. So (again...lol) I got an idea. Why not start planning out my new tank? I intend to save up for this one and get a fresh, new setup. I might go used on some of the equipment, but not the tank and stand.

Any input on how I should do it, guys?

I want a 125g, preferably glass, shorter than 6ft lengthwise (more like 5ft.) Probably add the difference in depth rather than height.
I was going to go with an SWC skimmer, but that appears to be off the market last I checked. I shall need something in the same price bracket that still works well (reliability and quietness are BIG +'s).

I think I want an overflow with the input coming in one side and the return going in another. This last one had the return just below the weir and it really didn't collect the waste properly. The output kept blowing the solids away from the weir. I'm also thinking corner, maybe...though I did see one where the overflow covered one side of the tank, which may be an intelligent way to go...

I can't possibly believe NO ONE here has ideas. Did I do something to make people not want to offer input? I admit I'm not the best at following advice (trying to improve that), but I _want_ to hear your thoughts!!
