Rock On!
Just a quick note. I hunted forever for a sfiligoi MH/T5 light back in the day to get away from my PFO MH/T12 fixture. That was what I called the "The best lighting fixture Pendant" I had ever seen. Unfortunately I never got the chance to purchase one and see what they looked like.
I just love when I see images of the halide/T5 Sfiligoi too!!!!

You still can have the Spectra which is similar and well built:

At depths is just mostly blue/green.. Any light technology can simulate that..

"1oKs are perfectly fine to simulate what I like.
Unless you're talking about a tide pool.
I bet if you ask any kid in the islands which fixture they would use over their tank to simulate the sun/ocean they would point to halides.;)
They would also choose 10Ks!

Chevy? No, That's not the best selling truck. Explain Yourself? :)
I like Them. I can do what I want.

I don’t like trucks much. Maybe a step side. Or a really old one. I like the model T. That would be cool. I know a place that can make them electric

The reason I had to switch from 3 400W MH to LEDs

Back to a very interesting subject here...
What materials could we use over the plastic frame to avoid such damage?
Anyone?

Yeah, that would be great... but...
How thick and how wide would be the glass to replace that center plastic piece for a 75gal?
Would a 1/4" X 3 1/2" wide glass do it?

There are no heat issues with 250W MH's. You only run into heat issues with 400 Watt MH's. Ran them both. Only need a chiller with 400W MH's. Those suckers are hot.
Coming very soon MH will be a thing of the past

Thanks for your response! I believe you must be enjoying your LEDs and what it doing for your tank.
But the qualities and properties of both light systems aren't the same. What halides can offer using the right reflectors your LEDs wouldn't, right?
The spectrum and UV offered by a MH system can't be compared to any available LED in the market today. I hope you agree with that fact.
LED companies are trying to simulate T5 distribution for years, but they still lack in that respect.
I'm not saying that you can't grow your corals well with the LEDs you've got. I'm just trying to bring here the differences as facts.
Not really comparing tastes anymore.
I'm also trying to see the subject with a wider vision now...
