Sorry for the blurry picture, this is the best I could get while it’s acclimating. Anyway, I just picked up my first acan. Besides my torch, I have never kept any LPS corals. I know that the acan will eventually grow over the frag plug, but I would love to be able to take it off of the plug right now and glue it straight onto a rock in my tank. Would I be able to do this with this frag or will I damage it if I try to pull it off? Since I’ve never kept acans before, I can’t really tell if it is the coral itself attached to the plug or just another piece of rock :P thanks!

you can glue it to a rock no problem. a flat head screw driver and a light tapping from a hammer should pop it off the plug easily. Shalom
