Acan eating copperband butterflyfish

Hi all
For those of you that have copperband butterflyfish that eat acan's: has anyone had success in stopping the behaviour? I assume its not possible as it will be instinct, but non the less curious to hear.

My new bcb seems to like expensive snacks

no I ended up selling my acans. He did leave alone my scolys which was weird.
