I'm getting in two of these tomorrow and know that they are aggressive and should be placed away from other coral. My question is can they be placed near each other?
Would they try to attack the same kind. One is orange with purple centers & the other is green with redish colors.

Two of the same coral shouldn't have a problem with being close. But, I'd give them a few inches all around to allow for growth.

Thanks. Should I place the frag on the sand/crushed coral or on a small piece of rock? They will each be on a plug but for future growth, which would be better?

Personally I would maybe just find a nice smaller flat piece of Live Rock.. And I've heard mixed messages on The same speices getting along. Some say their fine, But I had a buddy who fragged his colony of CB 3G Mummy Eye Chalice and 2 of the frags decided to sting one another and both died.. So just to be safe and to save you from losing one I would place them a little ways apart.

They will be fine. I have a little acan echinata area in my tank. I keep them close together. The like having something to grow onto so a nice large disc or flat rock will work.
