Acan Extension

My acan seems to extend quite a bit once lights are at full strength. When the lights are off and ramping up/down they seem to be the same as what I see in most pictures. I don't seem to find any pictures that are like mine.

Is this normal?

I was wondering if maybe that was the case. I will find a spot a little higher and see if that helps.
