acan ID pls

anybody got a name.just p/u yesterday from lfs.he has no idea what the name except it's a acan.still PO and not open yet

Acanthastrea Lordhowensis. Very nice colors too. IMO it looks to be a mid to high AA grade.

ok guys,been more then 24 hrs and the acan is not open yet.i have it under led on the sand bed.someone just told me that acan don't do good under led.this is my first acan so i really don't know what is wrong with it.can anybody chime in on this?TIA

I have several acans under 100% LED. Mine are poofy and happy. What I have seen is acans tend to like less light and LED can be very strong. You did say yours is on the bottom.
How is your water param? I have seen my acan get po when my mag is high.

my param is fine.i move it to another tank under t5 now.It's doing great

Acans do great under LEDs but need to be acclimated properly when they come from different lighting. Keep in a somewhat shaded area for a few days or dim your LEDs for a few days, slowly increasing the light each day during that period.
