Acan Lord question

what can be up with my acans they haven’t puffed up like usual in about a week or two but they’ve been very retracted like this for the past 2-3 days.

yes they are all my other acans are looking good and the rest of my coral is looking amazing too, the flow is pretty low

I know with my acans some like it a little higher light some like it lower and flow ranges as well. Think it mostly differs due to color pattern. My greens love higher light and flow. While the orange rainbows like a little less. Have any creatures that may be ticking em off?

Acans, like a lot of LPS like meaty foods like mysis or brine shrimp. I had the same issue not too long ago (I was even feeding reef roids too :P) but now I feed them mysis, and now they're puffy as ever.

try moving them into a higher or lower light spot for a few days. see if they like it better there.

Has anything changed in the tank? IME, acans randomly do this sometimes from inverts/fish nipping, flow or chemistry swings. I don't see any recession so that's good. I would leave it be for another few days and don't try to feed it.

My acans routinely close up giving me a heart attack. The last one that did that when it opened up it was surrounded by babies. Sometimes I think they just do it to scare me. Flow is what I would consider tidal from my MP10s at 95% so sometimes pretty strong and sometimes not. First pic is at bottom on tank in a ravine. 2nd are on a rock at right side in lower 3rd. Lighting t5 s: 1 actinic, two B+, 1 C+ Just my $0.02. Hope you find a happy spot. They are so cool to watch!
I also feed @LRS heavily and I think they pick up some of this too. Roids on Sunday night.
