Acan Lovers - What Lights Are You Using?

After having my acans under LEDs I can say I will be supplementing my tank with some T5 when I get my Vega for new tank. Transfered everything to new tank with only T5 and they have colored up like crazy.

I am using ATI dimmable sunpower. Beautiful lamp. Acans coloring up like crazy

For all of you that do keep rainbow acans under t5's, specifically 4 bulb t5, do any of you run 2 blues, 1 purple, and one pure actinic? Right now I run 3 blue+ an 1 fiji purple, just curious if I switched out a blue with an actinic if it would make much of a difference

I have been more than pleased with the 160w MaxSpect Razor and the coloration of all my LPS. The polyp extension is unreal and I spot feed LRS about once or twice a week with a turkey baster. The fish get fed daily.

A little bit over a week. It's on the very bottom and lights are 10" above water level with 50% blues and 35% white. Fixture is ocean revives' arctic s026. I'm going to have to put it in a more shaded area if it gets lighter.

i have leds and my acans seem to like it.my lord acans have lost some of there color while my echinata's have gained color.i dont understand it but that whats happened i am planning on adding either t5's or 400nm leds still trying to figure which will be more beneficial.

I have LED's, but I'm finding different acans require different intensities to get them to look their best. Some color up best under direct lighting on the sandbed. Some of my rainbow varieties only get good colors when they are practically in the shade otherwise they just turn red.

My best growth came via a Radium/VHO combo. I voted MH/T-5 though. ;)

T5HO best growth came from feeding it Reef Frenzy :) Got it with 3 heads in April and today it has 13

I have 6 T-5's and also a 4' blue reefbright and my acans are growing fast and are extremely happy. I also spot feed them on a weekly basis.

those of you with mh where do you place the acans i have mine on the sand bed right now but not sure which level is best
