Acan Maintenance

Looking for recommendations for Acan and other LPS supplements and feeding, just picked up a few Acan frags, wanna get them what they need ASAP

Spot feed mysis and broadcast acro power. They also gets some rods food once in a while if the fish let it fall down. All my acans are doing great and growing fast.

My fish take all the food out of mine. I have now made some "covers" to go over my LPS stuff until they have ingested the food. A real hassle, but it's all I could think of.

I second reef-roids. Ive brought countless acans back from the dead with that stuff!
I also use rods foods once a week just as a meaty supplement.
They dont NEED to be fed per se, but mine have always done way better when directly fed.

This new Acan is my new favorite, I have done lots of softies and Z/P's but something about the LPS is awesome. I had no idea they would actually take prepared foods

Oh I adore acans-I just bought a lemon drop from cherry corals-yellow with white rims :D I cant wait to get it lol
Acans and rock nems are favorites just because they "eat" hahaha you can watch them eat things. Pretty lame but I think its the best part of reefing.

We spot feed Reef Roids and LRS Reef Frenzy a couple of times a week. I use tweezers to make sure my favorites get fed.

Here is a quick video of some very plump acans.

I just chase my fish away with the turkey baster :D. Also kind of a a hassle but just part of the fun.

They don't need to be fed

They do need to be fed just not necessarily spot fed. I feed my tank heavily and my acans always have their feeders out and they just catch food as it flows through the DT. Mysis and fish frenzy every day for me.
