So this one particular green/orange acan is not doing so well. All of my other acans are doing great. It is retracted with its mouth open as you can see from the picture below. I'm assuming its because of high light, but even when I moved it to shade, it is still retracted. Lights are on for 12 hours, 8:30 AM to 8:30PM. Par is about 20 now. It just ate this morning, but it was looking very ugly and discolored. Why is this happening?
So far I gave it a dip and moved it to shade. Is there anything else I can do?
Ca: 450
Alk: 10.5
Mag: 1500 (for my chalices)
PO4: Between 0.03-0.1 (to keep my mixed reef happy, not too high, not too low).
Nitrates:5
This is your standard ten gallon. Flow is from a Seachem Tidal 110 with half the flow (around 225 gph) on the right side of the tank and a BRS Reactor (used as a chaeto reactor, on 24/7) with Maxijet 1200 and Random Flow Generator directly pointed at my SPS islands. LPS island is on the left side, so all the flow they're getting is indirectly from my Seachem filter, which is basically a gyre on the right side of the tank.
I dose phytoplankton in the morning and feed it three times a week with my frozen food paste.
Here it is now. How can I save this acan?
