hi there new to acans bought 1 now i can't stop.how long does it take to grow out? say like aprox.how long from anew polyp baby till that polyp gets to adult size? not sure if i should be asking questions in show off thread?

Welcome to the acan addiction. Some grow quicker than others, but none are fast growers, really. Feeding them reasonably helps. Keep them away from direct, bright light, or they will turn red. In other words, if you score a fancy and high-dollar rainbow, it will lose its various colors if blasted by light. They like low to medium flow and low light.

Here's an old aussie rainbow of mine with recent pictures. Had it over 3 years and growing strong in my frag tank. I'm calling it "Old School Rainbow".

250 watt 20k helio, coral looks better in person, couldn't capture all the color this rainbow actually has.
