Phyto and oyster feast here. I do a mod flow, and mod to high light. All so, you might try target feeding very gentle.

Just play with where they are at.

I've had my acans high light high flow low flow low light and they do good. Just a matter of messing with their location

Thanks everyone! Sounds like they're hardy enough to survive while I figure it out!

Has something been pestering them? Maybe a hermit or a snail sitting on them too long or maybe asterinas or something? Maybe they got brushed by another coral or you accidentally touched them messing with things in the tank? I know sometimes I **** off my acans or lobo and they don't open up for a few days and don't puff up. Usually they get over it in a few days though. If something is bothering them, they won't open up. Sometimes, they just don't open up for a day or two for no reason at all.

If they were fine for weeks on end, and then all the sudden don't open up and nothing changed, usually that is a sign something is bothering them (unless your parameters got messed up). If it were lights, temperature, or they didn't like your tank - they would have shown signs immediately or would have slowly withered - wouldn't happen overnight. Acans are also really finicky with changes in Alkalinity like SPS. Every time I do a bigger water change, if it isn't perfectly matched they close up for a few days - the Bowerbankii are particularly sensitive.

They're a little better today. Tentacles out a little but not puffy yet. I think I might have it figured out. I realized that where I poured in topoff water it flows right onto them, so maybe they were being disrupted. I'll pour in another part of the tank and see if that helps. And crabs could definitely be a possibility too. Thanks again for your advice everyone!

Just moved them to a lower flow area. Let's see what happens.

Looking better today! I think it was a flow problem. Starting to puff a little!
