Hi guys,

Yesterday i went back from a 4 days trip to find out that my chiller was leaking a bit. Well, that wouldn’t be much of a problem if i didn’t had an automatic fresh water(deionized) refill system.

Short story: It reached 1010~1009 salinity and (obviously) that was enough to kill 98% of the 600L tank.

I had/have this Acanthophyllia that was very big. Now i’m really sure what to do..

It can be saved? It’s progressing quickly.

Thanks for the attention.

Tissue may or may not grow back over the skeleton. If it continues to recede, you can cut off the dead area. Assure it gets moderate light and water flow and that Phos, nitrate and ph have not become elevated as well as salinity being low

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
