Hello everyone

I purchased this acantho at Reefapalooza and think it’s a goner so looking for confirmation or advice. First pic is when I got it home and then second is today

Parameters are:

Ammonia/nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Phosphate 0.25
Calcium 440
Alk 8.6
Mag 1410
pH 8
Salinity 1.026

I’ve been doing weekly water changes 15% with Red Sea coral pro

I know the phosphate is high I tested using Salifert and it was hard to tell the exact color but just added chemi pure elite the other day to help bring it down.

It still has flesh but it looks like its in the shade, I would put it in the light, it will die in the shade

Hey thanks for your reply. I read they were low light corals and worried it was receiving too much light so moved it to shade. It briefly inflated for two days two weeks ago before going back downhill. It’s looking pretty rough but I’ll move it back to the light as a last ditch effort

Put it in a low light area to recover but shade means no light at all and any coral will die in the shade.
