One of my acanthophyllia looks like something was chewing on it!!! Flesh is receded and looks pretty bad, it's only on one side...hermit maybe. Needless to say, what's the best dip? Iodine?

Consider coral on coral aggression as well. I have two lobophyllias. While they were small they left each other alone. As they grew issues began. One night my larger lobo sent out mesenteric filaments and "burned" his neighbor. The injured tissue melted away within hours and looked very similar to your picture. I separated the corals. Fortunately the injured lobo did not die and over a month or so filled back in the injured area with new flesh.
