10 minutes ago I was filling up the rest of my sump with a 5 gallon bucket, but I didn’t notice until I put down the bucket that there was powder all over it. I saw that there was some powder on the rim of the sump but not sure if it got in the water or not.

I dropped maybe around a tablespoon of this.

This is supposedly the ingredients in it. Will it affect the aquarium? The aquarium is right now 1 week in cycling. It’s a 150 gallon tank and I’m ghost feeding. I did a little research in each ingredient and I don’t think it should be a problem. I have my skimmer and media reactor on and I have 2 bags of carbon in the sump. Thank you for any help

Maybe I am wrong. But I can't see it being a big issue. If the skimmer was going crazy, I would probably hope it was removing chemicals. The carbon is going to assist a lot in this situation. Waiting on someone who would actually know.

Yeah, I'd say do a big water change and make sure there's plenty of carbon available. Since you don't have any fish, there isn't much to concern about.

Nothing in there looks super concerning. Silica is a suspected human carcinogen because of the physical shape of it, the way it damages the lungs. In fact, it's just fine sand. Inhaling a lot of it is bad for you, is all.

None of those ingredients look concerning

Of all the reeflike powders that could wind up in a tank, that one is the winner

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
