I was changing the plumbing in my sump and it sprayed water on the bars.

they turned off and now wont turn on. I wiped it down and only the orange light is blinking.

What can I do to fix it? Thanks.

Is there a safe guard in the PC4 that turns off when moisture is present?

Saltwater is not good on electronics. I would replace them and find a place where the cannot get wet. That goes for any of the modules.

You can try but I have seen the damage that water can do in camcorders. Corrosion all over the circuit boards and connectors. They are usually a total loss.

From memory my PC4s have some screws on either end. I would take them apart (I feel like this is common sense but unplug them first) and bag them with rice. Then take a nylon bristle brush with some contact or electronics cleaner and try to scrub the contacts. Worth a shot before buying new ones.

I did the same a few years back. I let them sit for a few hours and then fired the controller back up. They were fine and are still working today.

If it was me I would open them up and wash them out with RO/DI water and let then dry thoroughly.

I have literally washed out a lot of electronics over the years with water that has been in floods or just plain filthy
In fact when I build something I scrub off the Flux with Alcohol then wash it with water as a final step.
(I also use a hairdryer and ensure the unit is thoroughly dry before use)

But remember I've been doing this for 30+ years so I'm a little braver and quite familiar with the process.

Disclaimer: If you kill yourself, burn your house down, electrocuted, etc.
I bear no responsibility, So if in doubt don't do it.

the likelihood of them being shot is high. the saltwater i smuch more conductive and the logic board will likely be shorted.
