If you don’t see any bugs crawling around after a thorough check, I’d boot out that flame angel for sure haha

My mistake. I misread and thought you said you saw PE at night.I don’t see PE at night either. The fish all hunker down at lights out . My other fish are 3 tangs a huge fox face, 5 clowns, 2 gobies, 2 wrasses, they go in the sand . Bubble tip, bunch of hermits and snails . So you think I can crank my lights back up ? I turned them down to 60% . Two xr30 a one xr15 .
Yes, next day polyps out, better then mother colony at the LFS. No secret, flow and food. When you say coming out the next day, do you mean when you are putting a new acro in your tank?
Me, too.My mistake. I misread and thought you said you saw PE at night.
Wow , yeah your coral looks fantastic! I don’t have anything like that. Just small frags a couple are starting to take off though, maybe 3 inches across. Although I’ve been tinkering with fish tanks of all kinds for 48 years this is my first time taking a stab at growing acros . I’ve done softies. But they are pretty easy. After I retired I figured I’d try the more difficult part of the hobby seeing how I have the time now .If you’re not seeing PE at night even, I’d take a very close comprehensive look into parasitic copepods. White bugs are rampant on acro and torches. Take a flashlight at night and see if anything is running around on your acros. No good copepods should be on living acro flesh.
I chased my tail for months until I found them. Lost all of my tenuis and some other pieces. Wondered why my color, growth and PE stopped. Did a white bugs treatment after finding them and things turned around completely in 2 months.

those are my lights, im rocking almost 400 par at 100% on top 10" and i only have 2 xr gen 6s, which is prob less than i should have. they are good lights for sure. Its Hard to get par with those lights, how did you start the tank, how old is it and nutrient level?
exactly you have 2 xrs plus the USA lights, which gen 6 is not very helpful because of the same reason the USA lights, 120° degree on the LED's, but still 2 xrs you just didn't specify the model. I stand by lack of light, although I think the OP has lack of flow which is way more important and impactful.those are my lights, im rocking almost 400 par at 100% on top 10" and i only have 2 xr gen 6s, which is prob less than i should have. they are good lights for sure.
Sounds like you need a better rodi unit. I see a lot of ppl try to get me little bitty ones or amazon Units and they don’t work well enough. So you have quite a few things to work on and figure outYeah I should do an icp test. I can’t seem to get my RO water down to 0 . Bout 11 is what I’m getting it to and I just replaced both membranes and all the filters
Well , the ro unit I have is a spectapure 4 stage with a BRS water saver membrane. But I put 2 100 gpd membranes in it trying to get more production. I wonder if that was a mistake? Would I get better TDS with 75 gpd membranes?Sounds like you need a better rodi unit. I see a lot of ppl try to get me little bitty ones or amazon Units and they don’t work well enough.
