acrylic ato res

i have a 100 gallon 5 foot tank looking to use the space under the tank better as my sump takes up about 60-70 percent of the underside i want to add in full auto waterchange but am out of room given size of what is below (sump has waisted space could save like 6-8 inches length if i built my own to fit the tank) i want to use as much room as possible for the autowaterchange and ato system. if i wanted to have the res be lets say 30 inches tall and 21L and 21w with 3 sections in it (salt, waist, and fresh) what thickness acrylic would work half inch seems fine as i will sealed lid and supports any thoughts

I’m better with glass, but… 1/2” acrylic 30” tall, 21” wide might be pushing it a bit for the vertical panes… why not add a ~7” x 18-21” strip of 1/2” acrylic between vertical chamber dividers? (Either drilling holes in these acrylic strips, or leaving an air gap at the bottom to allow fluid passage)

— this basically divides up each 21”x7”x30” compartment into two 10.5”x7”x30” tanks, structurally speaking!

1/2” acrylic would be fine if it’s baffled like you want for 3 sections. Basically each chamber would be 30x21x7 that’s not much pressure given the small foot print. About 19gal per section.
