I’m not sure if this is the right place for this post. If not admin feel free to move it. I bought one 250 gyre with the controller for my reefer 350. Thinking one would be perfect for my tank. Being into coral for only 3 years. I was not aware for the need for flow from different directions and irregular flow, and now I’ve decided to get into sps, and through my research learned the importance of irregular flow not just flow sps but also not having my lps hit with the flow from the same side. Anyway I was lucky enough to find another xf250 pump to put on my tank. I’m only able to run them at 20% without a sand storm. But, to see the difference in how much cleaner my tank looks, and how happier All my corals are from my lps to zoas just blows my mind. Really can’t wait for the middle Tennessee frag swap coming up next month to purchase some beginner acros, and other sps.

Having alternate flow, random flow is important for coral health and growth.
