Adding arrow gobies on seperate days

Can arrow gobies be added into my tank on seperate days.

I want to have a pair after buying one today but wasn't sure however I do like it and wanted to know whether they will cohabitate or fight?

You run the risk of aggression between con specifics if they are not a bonded pair.

Usually does not end well for one of them.
