Hi I have a 90 gal reef tank with 4 t5's white and blue. I would like to add 2 strip lights under hood red and blue which I can turn on after lights out as I miss them colours since had to change from my v2 connect. Any suggestions please?

I may be the only one, but I don't understand your question.

You said,"...since had to change from my v2 connect." What is a v2 connect?

"add 2 strip lights" what strip lights? Maybe a link to the product you are considering?

Hi thanks for replying. I had a v2i lumenair 900 connect which had sunrise sunset etc on it. But when bought larger tank had to use t5's which are fitted into hood.. without having to buy whole new lighting system I just want to add some red/blue colour in evening. Hope this explains a bit bitter

I used LED light strips to light the inside of my cabinet. Remote controlled and you can chose from about 20 different colors. The kit is actually designed for ambiance back lighting for a wall mounted TV.

I found the kit a Walmart ( big box store here in the US) but I’m sure you can find one in a store that sells TV’s or even Amazon.
It was about $12 US!
Hope this helps.

The ones I used are encased in clear rubber so they should be waterproof. They are also very low voltage. They plug into a USB port so I think that is about 5 volts.
