My current lighting is all diy leds with 3 main sinks of 48leds per sink. A year or so ago I added another 24 royal blues, 24 whites with a few blue, violets and reds thrown in on sink strips. I have been contemplating pulling the the extra strips and replacing them with 2 t-5s. I was just wondering what you all thought which would be better. I have lens on many of my leds and when I check par levels I get quite a variation in levels. some as much at 100 par between the front of a coral vs the back. I have one coral growing like crazy on the rt side and pretty much no growth on the left side of the coral. I am thinking I am getting spotlighting from the stronger royal blues. so what do you think? Add the t5s, remove all the reflector lens to lessen the spotlighting. I can also turn up the strength of my leds, they are currently at 60-70%. I guess I could also add the t5s and leave all the current leds.
thanks
Jeff

I would consider adding some full spectrum LED strips instead. Building is definitely an option, but if you want to buy I'd look at GHL's Lightbar2's and Current's Orbit Marine IC or Pro.
