Adding new live rock.

I was recently at a LFS and I saw a unique piece of LR. I’ve only added LR at the beginning of a tank set up. My tank is a little over a year old. Is there anything I need to do as not to introduce anything unwanted into my tank?

Put it in a tote with a power head and heater for a few days to see what or if anything comes out. Note that there still may be things inside the rock that you wont be able to see.

And then do a good inspection on it to make sure there's no Aiptasia or anything else visible that's unwanted.

Will do. Thanks! Funny thing is I was at the LFS to get some peppermint shrimp for some aipatasia that sprung up.
