I keep overthinking all of our plans so nothing is happening. On the plus side, it means I'm taking my time for once. .......

Backstory:

We recently broke down our old 60 gallon AIO mixed reef and set up our brand new Red Sea Reefer 250 (60-65 gallon total volume) on one side of the living room.

Still needs to have the lights installed but will be lit by 2 Radion XR15 gen 5s.

Original goal was for this to be mostly SPS, but will probably end up with some LPS as well. My youngest son is dead set on adding a diamond goby to this tank so we will probably need to limit anything on the sand bed.

......

On the other side of the living room we set up this 25 gallon waterbox peninsula.

It is mostly softys and one very tiny BTA. It also has a tracyphillia that needs to be moved because my clown pair has decided to love it to death but I don't really have anywhere to move it to yet.

It's currently being lit by another radion xr15 g5. I might move that though but I'm not sure. Depends on the rest of the plan.

......

The third tank is a 10 g waterbox cube that sits between my bed and my desk in my bedroom. Right now it's literally just holding things that I don't know what else to do with. It's currently being lit by an AI prime.

What is screwing me up the most is what to do with this tank. And it's making me overthink my thoughts for the other two tanks as well.

Do I want to put the BTA and clown pair in this little 10g? But that seems too small for them. If I move the euphyllia back into the 25g tank with the softys the clown pair will try to kill them again.

I'm leaning the most towards keeping the 10g tank as an LPS dominant tank with the euphyllia and the tracyphillia and maybe add some other cool things like acans or blastos and just keep the single banggai cardinal in there alone to help feed the coral since he seems to bother coral the least. If I do this, I'm thinking about trading the AI prime to the softy tank and put the xr15 on the 10g cube over the LPS. ...

...but the LPS can be aggressive...so part of me thinks they would do better in the larger 25g tank....but I also know I can't keep the clowns with the LPS because they have a history already of loving them to death. And if I put the AI prime onto the softy tank, will it be enough light for the BTA that is in there also?

....or I could just put all the LPS into the big reef tank with the SPS and have it be completely mixed, but then I know it will be harder to keep everything happy....and then the 10g would be empty to start over entirely with and I could do whatever? Then what? I'm out of ideas at that point. I could move all the softys into the 10g and allow more room for anemones in the 25g.....

... and will the two XR15s be enough on the RSR250 for SPS?

Ugh. 20230317_190943.jpg

In my 10g fijicube, I have 8 RBTA's, 2 clowns, 1 bangai plus some CUC and a bunch of zoa's plus some SPS frags. Lit by a prime. Everything in there goes bonkers. Those fish do not need a lot of room. That being said they are going to a bigger tank in the future. But everybody needs a dump tank.
As far as your lighting goes for the RS250... I am running two AI 26HD in my 40 cube. I would probably complement the 15's with some light bars or go to 30's for a SPS. Remember the brighter the light the higher the flow.
