Advice needed for hanging distance.

I will be putting a 48" Photon LED fixture over my frag system, its 48" x 36" x 10" but only keep the water at about 8". I'm thinking that I should go with 120 degree optics and hang it about 2 feet off the water to get the proper coverage front to back. Since the tank is so shallow, I'm not too worried about penetration.

I built the tank about 10 months ago and have been using a 6 bulb t5 fixture mounted about 3 feet off the water.

Can anyone give me any insight or advice? Thanks.

The height would be a coverage thing, you'd have to hold it above the tank to see what you got.
