Tank does not have water yet so?
Should be fine as the light is only 5" from each end.
My structure for acros will be 48×22 in the tank so all light will be directly under the structure.
I am keeping 4" from glass to scape on all side.
I should be able to easily hit 300 par on the bottom at any area in the system with 2 50's.
I will map par, air only, and then when the systsm sees water in my build thread.
Take a look at this link.
With what I've tested in the past you will have no issues hitting 300 on the sand. Top of my rock is in the 500/600par range around 12"under water.

Oh, i was hoping you were all set up. :)
I ordered a planet tank, 60x24 footprint.
My 75g had the 48" fixture(43" actual). It's 4" above the water in my shorty canopy lenses removed.
I intend to use that fixture and get a 50" also. (if I can't get a fixture, then use t5's)
I spoke to Logan about spread, he thinks with the lenses out it will help along with the 12" canopy I also am getting with the new tank. I will go as high as I can. I was worrying about par dropping off with going higher with the fixture. Lenses can be put back in if needed but then the shadowing may be a problem. I also intend to paint white epoxy in the canopy. May also help.

I was going to do a t5 hybrid and use my 5 xr15's but I decided to go 2 50's. I went from a long time halide t5 user to full leds only 2 years ago. Had the hybrid fixture but just decided not to run t5's anymore.
I set my system for the 48" hybrid so only a small mod to make it look right.
If you were local Id give you mine.
I also have a 6 bulb 36" Giesemann unit that looks brand new I cant give away.
Leds are all I will run now.
I just gave away my last halide, a 150 hamilton.

No worries, I have 7 T5 ballasts and all the end caps to go with them. Some are double and some are quad bulb. I was going to mount directly to the canopy top and wire them in. I would just need bulbs.
I think another 50" is the better way to go.

Hi, trying to maximize the coverage with reefbreeders fixtures over my 120gal reef 2x2x4'. Currently running one 48" photon v2pro and I get great par over the center but I'm lacking along the sides and lower parts of my rockwork. I used to have good par when I ran a reefbreeders 32" photon v2+ down one side of my tank and 2 radion xr15s down the other side and never had an issue with shadows/low light areas.

So I've been looking at adding some light bard to the sides of my 48" v2pro to help even things out and get my par up towards the sides of the tank. It looks like the older reefbreeders bars are all out of stock and the new ones that are still in the "pre order" are pretty expensive. For light bars o would be shelling out another 750$.

My other option would be to get another 36" fixture to hang next to my 48" light. I would just bump my 48" light over and run the 36" on the side where my overflow takes up space in the back corner. This would actually cost slightly less then the new light bar combo.

Wishing I could just buy another reef nexus integration chip because I've already got a 36"v2+ but those seam to be discontinued. That would be the cheapest and easiest route to go. Programming my 2 fixtures to match with one on the app and the other manually won't work out so great im thinking.

What's going to be the best option. I feel like I'm going to be turning the fixtures intensity way down if I go with 2 v2pro fixtures but I'm also not sure the investment in the bars is going to be worth it.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. I would really like to stick with reefbreeders and have wireless control.

How wide is your tank? Chances are you would only need one of the new Meridian Edge bars vs a set of 2- keep in mind they are 2x the power of the LumenBar V2s. We do have the V2 LumenBars in stock- they are currently on clearance sale to make way for the new model.

Are the v2 bars controlled via the app?
