aeration question

Running a non R/R tank with no protein skimmer. Will power heads and a cartridge filter create enough aeration just by water movement? I am not fond of bubblers or broken plastic ships. Thanks

The most productive tank as far as growth and coloration has been a tank tucked back in my bedroom that has a HOB without the bio wheels with two MJ's 12oo's no skimmer!! It continues to amaze me and others. Just good practices with testing and water changes.

the cascade from your hang on filter should create a decent amount and break the surface-maybe try to rig up a surface skimmer for the intake of your power filter to remove surface scum-just an idea.
