Hey,

My older LED light just broke on my 75 gallon tank. Im think I am going to replace them with a pair of AI Hydra 26. Anyone have any experience?

It says it is wireless, but do I need a controller or an adapter or can I just pair it right to the app by itself? Im confused because theres not that many videos or setup guides.

I have 3 hydra 26s over my 125. The app makes it easy to control. When setting them up do both of the lights at the same time so they pair as "parent and child". Also write down/screenshot your settings, if you have to reset the lights for whatever reason or add another light, etc it will not hold the program. Register the lights and hold on to the receipt, their warranty program is really good but you need both of those in place.

I had 2 over the 75 before my upgrade to the 125. The "spread" on the light is 24"×24" so as long as it's a 48" 75gal you will be fine. I dont know your mounting system but I will say the hydra mount from AI will not work with tanks that have any sort of rim, or at least they didnt with mine.

Not sure on regular hydra (which I dont think they make anymore) but on hydra HD all you need is a wifi network and phone app or computer website to log in and make changes.
I have 10 hydra 26 HD on my tank and I control/make change from my phone app.
