So I have 2 AI prime HDs. Both connected to wifi and work from my phone and computer. One acting as parent, one as child.

If I'm in the house, it's fine. But once I leave and connect to a different wifi I get an error message stating that it cannot find the devices/"connection timeout...check your devices". Same thing on my laptop. Not sure what is going on, if this is a simple no duh thing or if the AI primes do not allow adjustment if the user is on a different network.

Hi! I am very new to the primes but my app has a local selection and a cloud selection, when I first bring the app up. I have to select cloud if I'm on a different network than my primes. You also might have to completely close the app to get to that selection?

Hope that helps.

Edit: just checked and you can access the cloud versus local connections by hitting the upper left hamburger menu. I'm on an android phone so it may be different on apple or windows.

For wifi you have to be on the same wifi as your lights. Cloud based connection let's you connect from anywhere.
