Hello everyone, got this aio tank running, does the water level(the one with the arrow) here need to be lower than the water level in the display tank?

The water level in the middle chamber should be about 1 inch or so from the top of the dividing piece of the next chamber, the rest will level up the way it should.

If that is the return pump section it can go down to about half way. Which is usually recommended with the help of a small window as a guide level half way down the tank or lower. Just keep water at least a couple of inches above your pump. :)

thanks:), one more question, what dividing piece are you talking about?. the one next to the return pump(higher) or the one next to the water intake chamber(lower dividing ng piece)

So where the water from the tank comes into the back filter section through the slots or weir. It will naturally fill up that chamber and go into the next chamber. There may be a sponge or other filter media in it also. It ultimately gets to the final chamber where the return pump is. That chamber always needs to have enough water to cover the pump so to pump water back into the tank.
