I’ve been battling a bacterial slime outbreak in my 30 gallon, similar to what you’d get with overdosing nopox, except I’m not dosing anything. I’ve eliminated as many sources of contamination as I possibly can think of but it’s still lingering. I’ve got a hunch there’s something in the air in my house that’s causing this even though I air it out often. What it may be, I have no idea. I’m now thinking of purchasing an air purifier for my bedroom in which the tanks in. Does this seem like an effective plan for preventing contaminants in the air from essentially settling in my system? Does anyone run a purifier in a closed room where an aquarium is? It’s a plasmawave purifier that does emit some small traces of ozone as well. Not sure if that matters but want to cover all bases to ensure no mistakes are made.
