So I have a non-issue, issue that I’m pondering over and not having any luck. Like many, I have a line ran for my skimmer and ozone to draw fresh air from outdoors. I’ve had it for years now and there’s no problem really. When it was just the skimmer, there was just an ever so slight adjustment needed as the 50foot run impeded flow a titch. After adding ozone awhile back I’m thinking about dialing the flow through the generator in better. For no reason other than my ocd/adhd. The line is 1/2”id from a gable vent in the attic, over to the tank area where it’s connected to a 3/8”id hose in the wall cavity to a faceplate and over to the sump. In the sump I have a 3/8”x3/16”x3/16” (wye) fitting where one port goes to one of two inlets on the skimmer, and the other over to the ozone generator and then to the second inlet on the skimmer.
Path of least resistance is from the skimmer outdoors even as I made equal length runs from the wye. I feel (my days of pulling out a manometers to check are behind me) that the two lines may be fighting each other for air. I thought about putting a pinch valve (as I happen to just have one laying around somewhere) on one line to direct more flow through the generator. But then I would be restricting the flow a little more. Probably negligible but my stupid brain doesn’t like it.
So in searching for air pumps, I’m not seeing anything that’s “inline”. Has anyone ran across an inline air pump that might work in this application? Preferably with a 3/8” input and two 3/16” outlets (although a single 3/8” is fine too). I may have asked this a long time ago but I didn’t find any posts about it.
I know that there may be a standard 3/8 or 1/2 air pump, but I’m not climbing up the attic and across the rafters to mess with that.
Maybe @BeanAnimal or @Sisterlimonpot
