Well thanks. That's awesome. Hopefully the info I post is useful to people who want to do the same.
Welcome. (hope my comment didn't come off in a bad way) I dig this build and is one of my favorites. Keep posting those pictures!

Finally got an Apex unit installed and running. Currently monitoring PH, Temp, and ORP. I will eventually install a conductivity probe as well. The 8 Slot Powerbar really helped to clean up the basement wire nest. Its much cleaner and functional. I love this thing, probably the best piece of aquarium equipment I have ever purchased.

I picked up a couple new frags last night. Reef Raft Pink Floyd, $500 Efflo and ORA Hawkins. Managed to get a few quick shots under 2x Blue + before heading out for the evening.

Couldn't get a shot of the Efflo in focus but here is Pink Floyd and Hawkins

RR Pink Floyd (Frag was taken from bottom of colony so the corallite structure is very stretched out should become a bit more dense under my light and flow)

ORA Hawkins

Also took a few shots of some other newbies colouring up.

DSC03010.jpg

RR Avengers is encrusting relatively quickly and the polyps are starting to get some red.

DSC02998.jpg

Jawdropper also colouring up nicely and encrusting quickly. Polyps are quickly becoming blue.

DSC03003.jpg

RR Multicolor Matrix... still colouring up not much "multicolour" happening here yet.

Great looking tank man, subscribed to your thread so I can see the updates as they come out
Im in the market for a controller for my tank but I'm up in the air about which one to get, I'm really heavily leaning towards the reef angel unit as I really like it's setup and it'll do more than enough for me

The JD is looking great!

Thanks! It's definitely an impressive coral.

Thankyou glad to have you along, happy to be sharing here on R2R.
I am super pleased with the Apex, primarily the ApexFusion online component. It's soo helpful and awesome controlling and monitoring things remotely. Highly recommend it to anyone, I think its the best piece of equipment I have ever purchased for a reef.

Thanks.

Picked up a couple other frags this weekend at a Fragmeet in Toronto. Notably I found a fairly decent frag of Vivid's Rainbow Delight which supposedly came directly from Jason Fox at MACNA a couple years ago. I am very interested to see the progression of this. This coral is notorious for almost completely browning out when fragged or shipped and this one is no exception. I plan on documenting the color change as this coral has the potential to be one of the nicest around. Will post a photo later today or tomorrow along with an updated FTS.
