Hi all.new here and kinda new to the marine hobby. I never owned one before. My tank will be a 72 bow tank, later it wil have tons of rock and ill have easy corals to start.
I work part time at an aquarium store. Hes does mainly marine tanks and fish. I help where i can, and in also go out and maintain aqauriums for him.
Well heres where im at right now.

Im trying to go with the bean animal system. I have enough noise in the house to deal with. So hopefully this system is as quiet as they say. I wasnt sure how big to drill the holes on the cap. So i went with the smallest 1/16. We'll see how it goes

Dude i just did my first water test on this thing. I almost had a heart attack. I thought i was going to flood my fish room. I never did an overflow before.

I got a craigslist score a little while ago. Its a 140lbs of dry live rock. So its running in a 55gal drum with some live rock from another source.

Ok tank is running! I used only half the rock that was in the drum. Plus i bought a refractometer for $30 amazon. The salt im using is instant ocean. Probably my next salt purchase is
Reef crytals.

. Just a quick update. I asked the lfs for some easy corals. And i met a fellow salty who was breaking his tank down. I grabbed damels, sailfin, and a red hawkfish. Plus he had some corlas too with some rock too!

Tanks doing good. I received some frogspawn from a fellow salty. Its going fast in this tank. Water changes every 2 weeks with reef crystals.

Another update.i added new lights. Ocean revive leds.i only have them on 30% on the blues and white .the corals are all responding well and looking better too.
