Believe it or not that's without a cover..
Kinda nondescript :)

In that case, it might be necessary to use a cover slip to crush it “a bit” (very scientific, right?) to try to break up the clump and to separate the components of what is making up this material. It might take a few tries.

Alrighty, I'll give it another go tomorrow night.. at this point I think I'm just going to drop $700 on a UV, dual reactor and some carbon/gfo and call it a day... just don't know how I'll fit two more pumps in my sump.
