Algea Free Tiger Shark Pad Replacement

Anyone have any tricks for replacing the felt on the outside piece? The velcro on the inside piece went nice and easy.

Oh I already have it, just fighting the blue pad. Took me all day gently peeling at it, but came off as one piece... minimum sanding.
