No, but Ecotech isn’t price gouging, there is no crisis or shortage of led light options. The market isn’t cornered. Radions are more of a luxury item and that’s what they’ve built their business model around, less volume (alleged higher quality/lifespan) at a higher price. Would I spend full price on one, no.. but I also wouldn’t buy a Rolex, nor a counterfeit Rolex.

The point is that you would have probably never tried the replica if there wasn’t a brand it was built on. Building and maintaining a brand takes overhead the isolated manufacturer doesn’t have. Are the margins enough to justify $1k for a single LED fixture, doubtful, but still

My and my friend just bought in one shop A8se. But my has 8 channels ;P And today i've got an update in app and my lamp has new icon and is named as A8se Max? Somone also has this 8 channel A8se Max? This named "Adam" is 6 channel A8se which my friend bought.

You either have a random new version or a bugged app update which they do ALOT

Until today my lamp in app was like this normal a8se but i've got 8 instead of 6 channels...
Today app asked about update and icons changed to this...

If you think about this white shape i just make "blur" on SN.

good thread thank you all! I just pulled the trigger on 10 of the A8SE lights from Alibaba. I think the frustration of the app will be way worth the $9000 in savings

Will convert my display tank and farm to these I’ll keep you all updated on the progress and issues I can’t solve

After few weekes of using it i think you will like this stuff ;)
I changed my Ati 8x24 to 1 A8se and for me it's looking great or even better. Still waiting on 2ed a8se to get my set of lamps above my tank ;)

Just got my x30blues in, and Im trying to link it to my wifi, and it fails to pick up any wifi connections. Its a 2.4 and 5.8 ghz router, I know thats an issue with some equipment, but pretty sure I read these lights will work on this type of router. What am I missing here?

Mine picked up my router, but password has nonetheless characters in it and won't connect. It works tho, even detects my smart plugs. I opted to program via Bluetooth. Easier

I figured it out, but now trying to program is a whole nother hurdle. In manual mode I cant get the individual times to program, when I move the led sliders it moves all 24 hours.

You have to do it in auto mode….

Yep, then adjust from their preset. I based it off the factory time too. It wont keep time for nothing

For what its worth, Mine does not keep time either. Word is there is a battery that may need to be replaced. I just choose to go with the time zone it was programmed with. I am still extremely happy with the lights. Had them for a month now and definitely see results over my old lights

At my first installation, after 3-4 attempts I managed to put in the correct time zone. Since I updated the app and changed the zone (winter time).
After 24h... it returns to my first set-up. :rolleyes:

Not a big deal...
